If you think reading what people think and opine about this site is reading inane conversations then must i disagree with you. I think the site owners (as they say) like to hear what we think about AO and it's not a waste of time. Threads like this one keep us a little closer beyond the security threads in the main page that we all like.

Maybe the site owners should have opened a poll before taking out the GCC Forum from the main page or at least as many of you say adding an option in every user account to choose if they want this kind of threads to be showed in the main page or not.

Besides, and to my surprise, i have read many opinions of respected old members i thought they didn't want the GCC Forum to be in the main page saying they WANT IT TO BE THERE.

Heh, I'm somewhat happy.. Then again, I don't know if anyone here even know's who I am. Or that I ever came here I haven't been here in awhile, lot's of things in my life that are happening and AO has changed a lot for me. I'm very busy with a lot of other things, but I'm here right now. Dunno if I'll be here tomorrow, or the day after but I'm here. Anyways, "What's up?" to all the people here who know me.

1 - the new AO logo is awful (although we have the contest now)

Yes, there's a contest, with a prize no less. You could argue that it's their job to do the logo, but since people wanted a contest, they gave a contest. Which sort of invalidates any bitching about an admittedly shite logo.

2 - old AO didn't have ads in the main page as it has them now

Ok so it has ads (which means my Banner Free Surfing means bugger all ). If you are that worried about ads, you can use a program like Proxomitron which will filter all the ads out of the web pages you browse. Like souleman said countless times, they have to make money somehow.

3 - the General Chit Chat Forum's threads (etc.) aren't showed in the main page anymore

Jupiter bought this site, and they want this site to focus primarily on security. So they took those forums off the front page. Quick thought, how are the owners supposed to sell the site to advertisers as a security site if the main page is covered with: political discussion, 'what's your favourite...', antipoint bitching and associated bullshit threads.

4 - the new AO owners have commited some errors and members blame them (for example removing GCC Forum's threads from main page without telling the members, etc.)

It didn't show up on the front page, but it was still there, in the New Features forum, probably the most likely place you're going to look if you noticed a change like this.

It is still AO but with new management. I dunno what all the bitching is about.

Personally, if you do not like a site, leave.
