Mmmmm 1.2Gig celly, 128MB of RAM and a 20GB HDD? Doesn't sound like a bad system to just throw straight XP on and get rid of a lot of the factory "crap"... That's what I did with my Compaq system (well at the moment it's being turned into a Solaris box now).

    Just a thought...

sorryyyyy lol. The only thing is it didn't come with the xp disk it was pre installed. Thats why i use the recovery disk. it's only the second time i had to use it since i had the computer and i had it for two years.
I had to google 'jfgi' to see what it meant. The irony is overwhelming.

Yeah that sucks, you should pick yourself up a copy though! Make life a whole lot easier! ;-) Too bad it's not like the old days with factory disks, where all you had to do was unzip the archives and you could build yourself a installing of whatever OS came on the CD. Now everything is images, which would be a little bit harder to figure out. Heheh, I'm all about clean installs of the OS only type of thing, no factory BS.

    Just my two cents...
