    Unix Books

    Total Unix newb here, was wondering if ne of yu had ne recommendations on what I should buy. Thnx. PS. If I have a shell account, will a book i buy on Unix cover that stuff as well? Are the commands and such the same using it on a shell as they would be if I had it installed on my comp?

    Buy "Unix Bible, Second Edition". These books are always good.
    ISBN: 0-7645-4687-2 make sure you get the right one. And yes, it has 'stuff' about a 'shell account'.
