Zonewalker >> I usally ask for a slice of lemon, but I think belgians don't bother to much about traditions on how to drink beer. Just drink it rather . It's just a matter of taste.

I try to stick with domestic beer, since well Canada is home to to all great beer. Molson Canadian is obviously my favourite. I drink a lot of Busch, but not american Busch, it's actually brewed here by Labatt's... I like Bud too but after all it's the king of beers. Duvel is good. I like strong beers anything that's 10% is good in my books as long as it's fresh and ice cold. I enjoy a cold Asahi (Japanese beer) with my sushi (i try for once a week, but sometimes it's more or less) and occasionally on the side.. I'd say it's prolly the best beer I've ever had. Alexander Keiths is another really good premium beer. I'm not real picky tho, I'll drink anything.

I'd love for you guys to get your hands on some Northern Californian micro beers. They put almost every beer meer mentioned here to shame. God bless micro beers...

I'm not much of a beer drinker occasionally, I do drink Glenmoran.
I have something to say: it´s better burn out, then to fade away.

Duvel.be. Duvel is a high-fermantation beer, fermented a second time in the bottle. You should be able to find the export/import (depends on how you look at it...heh) version at finer beer stores (Belgian version has a white label, export version a black one). Brewery Moortgat, the makers of Duvel, own a brewery in the US: Brewery Ommegang. They make some fine beers, of which Rare Vos is probably the most famous (I even remember having seen some Rare Vos in gas stations in Dallas).

If you're into white beer: Celis white is the American version of the famous 'Witte van Hoegaerden'.

Chimay is one of the six 'Trappist'-beer (5 Belgian ones, 1 Dutch one), dating back to 820 ad.
Trappists are a Cistercian order.... and them monks are at least good for one thing!
