Our gov is getting stiff resistance to its intrusive big brother machine. People are feeling less threatened by terrorism and are becoming inclined to think that these ways are overkill. What better way to overcome this opposition that to let the people think its an act of terrorism. They’d be saying “Fortunatly no one was killed or seriously injured due to the increased security measures taken by the NSA, but we still don’t have the tools at our disposal that would have given us enough advanced knowledge of this attack plan to have kept it from happening at all”.
These throw backs didn’t do it. All they know is killing innocents. Next they’ll be claiming responsibility for double-folded sheets. Actually I think this claim was made, to instill some confidence in the people their supposed to be fighting for (both of them). I don’t think anyone here believes them
