Sometimes a little subtle humor can make a point easier to digest or ease tensions in a heated (often emotional) debate. I wasn't going to mention it but...
what if the holy spirit told the sleeper that "Jeferson Starship" is the word of god?

Who says that the "holy spirt" that visited the sleeper was a "holy" spirt and not an evil spirt?

Ok who says the "holy spirt" that visited moses, mary, any number of saints or apostials wasn't realy an evil spirt? Hell who says it wasn't just psycosis on moses's part? Who says that the scientologists don't have it right, or the mormans?
Soul man don't open the "well it wasn't the real holy spirt" argument, that one swings both ways.
Who is more trustworthy then all of the gurus or Buddha’s?

I never said it didn't swing both ways. But the moment you acknowledge a "holy spirt" then you acknowledge a higher power.
The one that always makes me laugh are people that say they believe in ghosts but don't believe in a higher power, be it God or many gods or whatnot. They say that I can't prove there is a god so therefore, there must not be one. But I can't prove that ghosts are real either, so how can they exist?

I can't bring myself to believe in some big invisible dude up in the sky who gives you a golden house and a lollipop if you say you love him...
I was never big on lollipops
That is not to say I don't believe in a higher power, I just don't believe in yours.

Souleman, we are on the same level when considering the thought process that Ghost and Witches can exist but God cannot. That just doesn't make sense. I still love a good scary movie though, "Signs" was great.
I think the good and righteous Holy Spirit visited "Jefferson Starship" and "Marylyn Manson" was visited by the imposter evil spirit pretending to be holy and clean. He produces great music and imagery but is a little misguided and often misunderstood. Now maybe Moses, like "Syd Barrett" who was one of the founding members of Pink Floyd; were deceived by voices in the head and perceived them to be the "one true" voice. Perhaps they both discovered the coco plant in their time spans and dreamed up a little alternate reality for themselves? I know Syd loves lollipops.
