Oh and one good thing out of all this is that the authorities can spot likely terrorists and affiliates as well as sympathesisers.

Exactamundo. The people in question exercise their right to hold the meetings, the people protesting it exercise their right to disagree with the meetings, and the government gets a nice list of people who might do the same thing in the future. Everyone wins

I have always wondered what was happening in the minds or some of our Middle Eastern members of the human race. I have actually lived there from time to time and have made great friends from both people who follow the Christian and Islamic faith. This site does just as I desired. I read every piece of information I could find. They actually believe the US and UK are trying to eradicate all people of Islamic faith. They also hold above all else that man made laws are evil and pollute the world. Only divine laws should be followed and they seek a way to change the course of human society from man made to divine. They also believe that the US and the UK are attempting what we call "ethnic cleansing" in other countries, aimed specifically at Islam. There is much more evil that this group is insisting that is happening in western culture. I knew this train of though already, having lived in foreign places, but I have never actually read any literature outside of peaceful religious and political media.
Many of you have posted comments about how you cannot see how someone could celebrate such an atrocity that was delivered to the American People that day. In their minds we commit atrocities everyday, with an evil vengeance. I can see where they could come up with a point of view like that, however it is severely misguided and critical.
Those 19 hijackers are murderers in my mind. They killed innocent people from all nationalities, including children. But according to these people, who actually celebrate the event, it's an eye for and eye. They are going to pray to Allah, that these people be given paradise because, according to their thinking, it is a major event that will turn the course of the world and set the way for change and freedom from our persecution and murdering of their own children and hundreds or thousands of people. Like our own similar events in history. They actually think the USA is trying to eliminate them from the earth. It reminds me of government conspiracy radicals and even religious Christian radicals who murder doctors in the name of god and Christ.
They are all mentally ill and dangerously misguided.

Religeous beliefs aside... murdering thousands of innocents, based on just reasons or not, is entirely, undeniably wrong. For those hijackers there is no punishment harsh enough for justice. And for anyone to celebrate the act of the killings is a slap in the face to anyone with two brain cells and a shred of goodwill. Political views and religeous beliefs seem to cloud the cold hard facts... people died that day. To celebrate the deaths of a thousand innocents is beyond words, quite fitting for the title "I'm speechless"

Yes/NO

Its true, the Arabs have right to bom the Americans, just as the Americans have right to bom the Arabs.
Remember the Americans have killed innocent women and children too in Iraq, Middle East and in Vietnam, Hiroshima etc.
Is the 3000 killed in America outweighing the 10000 's killed outside America?
does the need of the one outweigh the many ? Does the whole world or Americans need to suffer, because 3000 people died?
Why terrorism exists? Because we let it to! PRIDE? Because of an An eye for an eye!
Remember As Gandhi said, "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind"
We are so blind now that: -
- We scared of power cut
-Scared to go on the plane etc
-Scared of foreigners
We should learn to respect one another's difference and live and enjoy the world we are in.
Not all civilisations are in the same category of progress, those who lag behind should be given the chance to learn and catch up rather than imposing or forcing them to change. The tool to do it is education and Internet was the key to it. But now it is used to terrorise one another.
Religions teach good things such as not to kill, but politicians and bogus religious leaders use them to brain wash their citizens and followers. We are actually witnessing that in America and in Middle East.
Patriotism is evil.It will make you feel that you are better than others. It will stop you from having an open mind.It will cause hatred when others dont agree with you.It will cause you to agree with all the actions even though you dont agree will some of them.(Remember Hitler, remember Nazi Germany, many people could not say no because it was too late)Patriotism is one of the tools used by dictators(Look at history and you'll see)
We only live 100 years, lets learn to love and work together to move forward.
Say
No to terrorism
No to Religion and Yes to God (if you believe in one or two)
No to political crap
No Patriotism
No to religion fanatics
No to Racial Hatred
No to Religious Hatred
No to Bin Ladin
No to Bush
Dont let anyone Brainwash you, think for yourself ! You dont need to be in the majority to be right !

You don't have to be muslim to be a compleate tool.
Who is more trustworthy then all of the gurus or Buddha’s?

There are no heros in real life, just perpetrators, victims, and bystanders

I really have nothing at this point to add to the discussion. Seems to me we have heard it all before.
Cheers.
