can you paint a monitor black

i've recently modded my xbox ... played w/ it for a while and now i'm gonna give it to my mom as a full fleged computer (for internet & stuff) it's a beautifull thing the only problem is that the monitor i have spare for it is the same **** beige as usuall ... can you recommend any good paint for somthing like this ... do you have any ideas ... thanx ..(wanna make it black)

anyway ... about that paint... any ideas on what should i use that would look nice ...
