No PCI Video > 2 MB?
Hey guy & gals, i'm having quite a bit of trouble with my video card/computer. I have two video cards that supposedly work on other machine, but will not work on my HP Pavillian.
I have a PCI card in there, but it's like 2 megs (blah!) and no other cards (no cards with a lot of memory) will work. I get the 4 beeps (i hate the 4 beeps)!
argh! i'm upset over this!
yeah, I\'m gonna need that by friday...

What mo bo have you got?
By the sounds of it you have a pretty old card and therefore prob a old MB?
If it is the case it could be a voltage prob, as most newer PCI cards require more voltage than most older ones.
This could be one of tens of problems if you could let me know your spec's and what PCI cards they are i could help a bit more.

By them not working I guess you don't even see a BIOS screen.
I guess like nokia said, more info would be appreciated.

When you use two video card in a sytem, you're system downgrade the best video card performance to the performance of the worse video card. If you're PCI card only have 2 MG, I think it's not enough to run Windows XP and you're screw..
By the way, most of the lastest video card come with 2 VGA or a combination of DVI/VGA connector.
Good Luck with you'r dual monitor! It's ROCK to death! (I cannot live without it now)
