i for one will never pay for chat, not as long as i can use my telephone! i agree with that courage the dog guy. i think its more of a money issue than a legitimate concern about child molesters or whatever. but i guess we are all entitled to our opinions. its nice to see how people in other countries are reacting to this too.
and what the hell is up with paying 5 cents per email? the more i read about this computer stuff the more i get worried about it. good thing that was before my time. when exactly was this anyway?

Every news website has different reviews on this, and if your in the uk and saw the news ,then guess that made this go a lot quicker, i.e meaning this

ya would think parents would watch they kids in a chat room or something or install some stuff like cybersitter or whatever,
Chatrooms on MSN's other global sites will either be supervised - or moderated - by an adult 24 hours a day, or will be on a credit card subscription-basis only,
So guessing they wont be making everyone use a credit card,

The only way to make your PC go faster is to throw it out the window
Reading computer manuals without the hardware is as frustrating as reading sex manuals without the software.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing

While I personally despise Microsoft for various reasons, you can't argue Bill is a genius in one way or another. His latest move might soften his view in the eyes of a lot of *adults*, granted, these are the same people who don't get the patches and who do infect themselves, but they are also his bread and butter, his money. He is saying no to pedophiles, saying no to corrupting these people's children, and apparently making an effort to improve the internet for them....we all know what's really going on....squeeeeeeze out the money any way you can, but that's not how it looks to the majority, another nice move I'd say in Bill Gates latest game of chess.
As someone else mentioned, though you don't need a *nix system for it as they kind of implied, use IRC, it will always be free (as far as the eyes can see) and is a chat haven for anything you could ever possibly want.
