    It Sucks, but That's a Good Thing

    I thought this was really cool that this stuff called Super Slurper can dry books faster than air and vacuum freeze drying

    The mind boggles. 2,000 times its weight in water? Wow!

    We've been using this stuff in disposable diapers? Which go into landfills? No wonder water tables are dropping like crazy.

    Hmmm ... Dikes near the Mississippi or Missouri Rivers made of the stuff, during spring flooding season. No more floods!

    Now it is being re-designed to aid librarians and archivists in their battle against flood damage -- the bane of their information-storing endeavors.
    That's very interesting. That would be a wonderful development IMHO.
