Novell Drive Map
yes, i know this really isn't a security issue but i know there a some smart novell people here.
i'm trying to map a volume from a novell 6 server to an NT 4.0 workstation. i keep getting the error "login LGNVNT32.DLL 400 Network drive cannot be mapped to a drive that is designated as a local drive"
this is what i have in my script
MAP H:=NWS111_SYS\FINAL\%LOGIN_NAME
nws111 is the only server, so i don't have to specify it, right?
i gave the group full supervisor right the the whole volume (i know it's the easy way out). i think it's a workstation problem, please help, thank you.
sorry for spelling errors, if any

Took some searching through Novell's Knowledge base but found it once I removed the dll portion. This should help you.
While searching for that, I did run across the following PDF:
http://www.novell.com/documentation/...u/sysmsenu.pdf
I think it might be beneficial for you.

thanks for your help msmittens. although i don't think that it's a syntax error, it has something to do with the workstation. yeah, i have a hard time also with novells help site. i find it helpfule to do a seach with google rather than novells search. i usually use the search string " site: support.novell.com "search drive" MAP "
