Hi John,

Firstly this is not my field, and secondly I live a very long way away from you, but I thought a few international examples might help your studies.

http://www.dabs.com (A UK computer "everything" store)

http://www.crucial.com.uk (A UK specialist memory supplier)

Just have a look at their sites and see what they do.

Dabs give "Dabspoints" with every purchase. You get to spend these instore (similar concept to airmiles?)

Crucial have a very fancy tool for selecting the right memory. If you use it they will give you a no cost refund/ replacement if it turns out to be the wrong item. Also they give free shipping if you order online rather than by phone.

You might also look at the European ISP called Tiscali. If you use their service during the month you can order up to two "free" gifts for the cost of the postage. That is up to $100 worth of CD/DVD/Videos for $5. Obviously these are "end of range" bargains that they have bulk purchased. The "incentive" is to get you to use their online ISP service.

I would suggest that you check out some big online stores in other parts of the World, to see what they do.

Also, do a Google search for "online marketing services" and similar phrases. There are companies out there who sell their expertise providing these schemes to retailers. They will usually have a few case studies on their site and a list of major customers.

Check the major customers online sites to see what they have done.

Beware of the BS though........these guys are selling not teaching

Good Luck
