Big MAC--new supercomputer....
hey all...if this is already been discussed here.....please ignore.....
Check this out about a new supercomputer made from 1100 apple G5 computers........

I read a comparison.......that this one cost only 5 million dollars ..where as the fastest supercomputer in tokyo cost around 250 million.........

Pretty cool. Do you think they will sell it to me for around $10,000? I think I could scrape that up, of course then I would be broke. I don't know what I would do with all that processing power. I guess I would play solitaire or minesweeper. I could also use it to calculate lengthy and difficult calculations such as
int n=0;
for(int i=0;i<100;i++){
n = n + i;
}
return n;
Hopefully you all know I'm kidding. Anyways, thanks for the cool link.

Yeah I heard about that on Apple's site. I thought I also read somewhere that another school was planning on trying to do that. I lost the site, I will try to find it, I am not sure if it was MAC or IBM or something but it was big.

That is way cool. I want one.
Like h3r3tic, I have no idea what I might do with it ( other than find the games on level 1, against the computer, suddenly become rather tricky and short ), but I still want one.
