Start Up Problem
My computer won't get past the startup. I'm using Win xp Home. It gets to the Windows Xp loading screen and then it goes to a black screen and starts the start up over again. whats wrong?

Can you get into the startup menu?
Real security doesn't come with an installer.

Could be a ton of things but it is hard to tell given the lack of background info you've given. Might be hardware, but probably is software related. Try to boot into safe mode and use system restore to go back to the day of your last good boot, Another option would to be to try and boot from the CD and then use the recovery console to repair XP. If neither of these work then the problem is likely to be hardware related.

If you can't boot into safe mode then try booting from the Windows CD.

to boot into safe mode and use system restore to go back to the day of your last good boot,
when you turn On your computer press F8 untill a black screen display with start up option on it. ex:
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Safe Mode with Networking
Last known good configuration
......etc.
try what allen suggested with the restore (when you are in safe mode) if that doesnt work try ladt good know configuration.
