Why free? Your drivers license isn't..... Show me a vehicle that has caused, let's say.... only, $10M of damage/harm.... But you pay a road/tags tax and pay for your driver's license every year or so.......

Now, don't get me wrong.... I hate taxes and gubmint trying to come up with "solutions" which always seem to be _tax_ it......

I sometimes think there should be a test, that you pay for but _only_ covers the cost, that lets you on the internet...... Is that a possibility.... Hell, no.... All the companies out there want the morons to be able to buy their crap..... Regardless of the fact that the buyer's machine might also be the the machine that screws them Royally by being used as an MITM.... <sigh>

The internet _is_ the new frontier...... Believe it...... It's true..... It's the wild west out there, and if you aren't carrying your "six-shooter" you're going to get pooped on, big time.....

By free i don't mean the gov should give away free IT courses, what i had in mind was the creation/implementation of a subject related to computers so people could start dealing with computers earlier, increasing their knowladge and therefore making them able to apply the minimum required security mesures to their boxes.

I had read about this trojan defence before and i gave it quite a thought...
Someone sujested an exam to be made in order to purchase a computer.This will never be a reality but it's not a bad idea...

Every school (in the US) I have been too recently has computer classes already. But like history or geography, some will never get it. Ask somone around the water cooler to name all the states that touch Montana.
