Yeah, after looking at groov's links, apparently if you have less than three changes it should work, but three is the barrier. Probably the best bet is to get on the phone with them and get them to sort it out.

Quick question, couldn't you install XP on two different machines with the same disc using the method found
here if:
1. Both computers had the same hardware, or all but two pieces are the same.
or
2. You installed it on one machine and copied the wpa.dbl and wpa.bak then formated, then installed on the other machine which should work since you formatted the first one. Then, you should just be able to reinstall the first one and copy the wpa files you copied on the first install back into the system32 directory.
Am I right here?

changed and to or between the two methods. I think it makes a difference.

I think you have a good point H3retic, this actually should work. the hardware compatability is a likely problem though. Unless it is a work/office enviroment where systems are all purchased together, and have all the same specs.

yeah you are right, but i didn't copy any files, i formatted the first machine and installed Win XP Pro, then installed the same version of Windows XP Home that was on my first machine on the laptop.

When you are re-installing , do you get multiple disk promts?

allenb: i didn't have time to try that program out yet, had to work and stuff. I'll probably do it tommorow. But his laptop probably got locked by now. I'll just do it via Safe Mode.

Safe mode as the administrator (use the administrator login, not your friend's login) is the only way that the program works anyway....the directions should all be in a .nfo file zipped up with the executable. Good luck!!

go to crack.ws and download an xp crack and apply it to xp
