So when he told us we couldn't look in certain buildings, and we could'nt have security cameras monitoring him, he was complying?
I know that Iraq does have biological weapons. They just have them hidden well, or they shipped them off somwhere before all this started. Why else would he have told our inspectors that they couldn't go in certain buildings? I mean thats a bit suspicious to me.

If the US is so concerned about WMD why aren't we in North Korea? I know off the topic, but it sure throws the whole "the US is doing right for the world" argument all to hell.
Every now and then, one of you won't annoy me.

I believe the reason we are not going into North Korea yet, is because if we did I would not be suprised if Korea launced a nuke or two. Therefore, war would be the last thing we want. We want to prevent a Nuke war, not start one.
If one nuke is launced from korea, then we most likely would launch a nuke. Now where would that leave us and Korea? No where. More than likely we would knock out Korea first as they are a smaller land mass, but there would be a lot of people killed. A Nuclear war is one of my greatest fears.

cheyenne1212: if he had chemical and biological weapons why didn't he use them when bahghdada was failling and there was nothing left t olose....he obviously had some troops willing to die for him (see the current attacks.), so the idea that they where unwilling to use these weapons is ludicris.
Who is more trustworthy then all of the gurus or Buddha’s?

Speculation: Why didn't Saddam use them? The entire world was watching and he knew that once they were discovered he was absolute toast. By manipulating world view in his favor at least there was a chance the US would back down and uncock it's gun. Saddam let us into his house all of a sudden after 3 years. A full year after 9/11 and months after we threatened war. He didn't use them because when he finally complied they were gone. I can't look at his history and cleanly say that on his own honor Saddam used those 3 years to dismantle his arsenal. Remember the UN timeline I posted? Those inspectors NEVER got any clear access to anything, right up until they were kicked out in 1998. The man is a maniac but smart. He wouldn't have maintained so much power for so long if he wasn't.
The alternative to this scenario is what I already mentions. Saddam kicked out all UN inspectors in 1998 and got a change in heart and without their intervention and oversight or inviting them back to say, looky I am nice now. His heart grew 10 times too big and he ran around the country for 3 years and totally dismantled all his areas where he wouldn't allow cameras or fly overs or inspection teams made up of appointed members from the United Nations Security Council who for 10 years constantly passed additional resolutions to get him to comply. Then when he was all finished he announced that inspectors can come back in now and open their gifts of his generosity.
What he really did was laughed at them and manipulated them. Now if he didn't have something going on, why 3 years? Why after 9/11 did he give full access? For that matter why a year after 9/11? Because the gun was cocked and his own intelligence was in overdrive. We took out the Taliban and repeatedly made it known he was next. Why did his chief program administrator defect? Why would you think a dictator who visions Iraq as a bastion of power in the Middle east wouldn't seek abilities to enact that vision by eliminating all oversight into what he was doing. Hell it worked for 3 years, why the sudden turn around?
Here is a question that puzzles me. Assuming he did have active programs up until he all of a sudden let the UN back in. Where are they? He could have only moved them two places. Iran and Syria. Holy ****, that alone is more of a concern to me than pointing fingers because you can't stand someone. There is now way they or Korea are going to open a door the way Saddam did in his miscalculation of how the US would react.

Who cares, aren't you glad he didn't use them!?

Terrorists and thugs, who cares? Let them die!

Sorry for my bad Word's and English (American):
America is a nice Land, but Bush **** this Land with the Blood from American's
Iraq is not a real threat. Ask Bush's Family, there know's Bin Laden Family.
There to pose a threat to so, is Bush ans his "Friends" (Richard Cheny - Halliburton, The World Bank Group, K. Rupert Murdoch, and more), thats al Warmonger with Blood from American Poeple. In the War must not Bush or Cheney die, but the normal American Soldier.

Well- he, or members of his party, performed some very suspicious actions in scrubbing the voter registration list in Florida and the ensuing litigation to get elected in the first place.
IMHO the electoral college needs to go. It had a place in the past, but we have the technology to count ALL votes in real time now. It is ridiculous for a President to be elected by winning the most electoral votes when he doesn't have the majority of the popular vote- not much of a democracy. Some states don't even require their electoral college to vote with the majority vote in their state. If I lived in one of those states I probably wouldn't bother voting. But, just because he gets 51% of the vote in Ohio shouldn't mean that he gets 100% of their electoral votes.
Getting off the electoral college soap box- everyone LOVES tax cuts. But, what he is doing is similar to me telling my employer to keep 30% of my paycheck and then not being able to pay half of my bills. Tax cuts are great if the government can afford them, but you can't give tax cuts while increasing spending. What results is a record $500 BILLION deficit.
He has blatantly lied repeatedly including his statements trying to justify why we should conquer OPEC- I mean liberate Iraq- as well as in his statements about almost anything. He and his people are masters at doing press conferences and photo ops that say one thing while working in the background to make sure it never happens. They talk a good game and put forth legislation that SEEMS good, but then they don't give the project any funding in their budget so it never comes to pass.
Politics in America, and this President in particular, have sold their soul to corporate America. Big Corporations have way more sway with the administration than any of the constituents these people are elected to represent.
If I weren't an atheist I would pray that he wouldn't get re-elected. I can't imagine how much more damage he could do with another 4 years.
