This may sound paranoid but the paper shredder is the most basic form of information security. I shred everything that might have some useful little tidbit on it. Any names or any account info even my atm receipts get converted into 1/16”x ½” strips and if I am destroying a credit card I use sandpaper on the magnetic strip then it goes into the shredder. My trash man must think I am some kind of freak now that I think about it.
