I have/use[d] actually quite a few of them :
-- Firefox
-- Internet Explorer [ Current browser that I am using. ]
-- Opera
-- Safari
But as for a favorite ? Don't really have one. I will just use whatever I feel like using on that day.

If they are free I can usually be relied upon to take a handful:
IE6 SP1
Netscape Navigator
Mozilla 1.6
Opera
Firefox (just got that in the last couple of days)
I tend to use IE out of force of habit................I am old
/off topic
If anyone is having a problem with Mozilla loading, try turning off your popup stopper.............hmmm i guess my defence mechanisms on this test box are now like a shoal of starving pirahnas.............they will eat anything I throw to them

I agree firebird 7.3 worked well (a little buggy) , but firefox has been exceptional, opera is pretty sweet also but the gui kinda bugs me.
