DSL - They promise 1200k down and 133k up, but we rarely get that downloading...

    ADSL

My connection speed depends on whether my neighbor is online, and whether the landlord finds the cable again...

    Time:

    Download time (milliseconds): 6234
    Download time (seconds): 6.234
    Start Time: 1078898217484
    End Time: 1078898223718

    Data:

    Download size (bits): 8192000
    Download size (bytes): 1024000
    Download size (kilobytes): 1000
    Speed (bits/second): 1314084.055181264
    Speed (bytes/second): 164260.506897658
    Speed (kilobytes/second): 160.41065126724413

    Your line speed:
    1311.1 kbits/s
    160.7 K bytes/sec

If he finds the cable again, I'll be running after the rest of y'all dial ups.

    I'll have a 54MBps T3 when I finish my wireless Antenna, on a clear day/night at least.

The local college (across the street has an open 802.11g AP, and students are welcome to use it. They never actually specified that you need to be on campus for it...

DSL can usually be got for about $30 a month. Most of my friends just pirate wireless connections. Of course, they live downtown where there's a buttload of AP's. I personally don't approve of this, as it really is stealing. I'll pull anything I can in a gray area of the law, but I'll never directly break it.
