ensure that the admin p/w is the same on both machines... check that the security for the file folder permissions allow access for the current logged on user and ensure that you are "sharing" the folder(s) in question. If the logged on users for the machines are different make sure you add the username & p/w on the other machine and assign it the folder where you need access to. If you want access to the laptop folder or hard drive ensure that you are sharing it and vise/versa for the desktop.
