As far as the whole "Hacker" thing goes.... I don't care if you consider yourself a "hacker", I don't care if you consider me a "hacker."

Well, some of us are *******s, but we're a sub group of human. I am a hacker, and so is that little skiddie who started this... How is that possible? What possible commonallity do we share? What links us as hackers? THe fact that we use computers? The fact that we're more skilled than others? ****, by that logic, my mother is a hacker. I still fail to see any skill coming from this skid mark who started this. True skill is the ability, desire, and will to learn for yourself. Questions are good, but do the footwork, questions are for the details.

Yes, you are very anonymous from most using only a proxy and I'll explain below.

You don't have to and here's why and the explanation I promised. Since you want to hack into somebody else's computer, you have your head up your ass and no one will venture up there to find you, therefore you are quite anonymous in that respect. Additionally if you are successful or break the law in any other way, since you have already manifiested your intent, you will have a new roommate who will teach you the finer arts of hacking using your back orfice as the object lesson and once again, while in jail, you will be anonymous to the outside world. So in your particular case, by all means use a proxy.
