I LOVED learning C. Of course, I'm a geek and a nerd, so I never really got frustrated. Heck, I fed off pointers when the book introduced them .
Cheers,

Learning a Langauge can be interesting. It's not always being bored, it's just some times you don't feel like reading.
I love to read, I average no less than 3 hours a day reading, but sometimes. You just won't feel like reading. What I usually do, when I have some reading to do and I am not in the mood to do it, I will either jump on IRC, and chill there for a sec, that always gets me wanting to read.
(Nothing like looking at a blank screen for 10 mins, to make you want to do other things.) Also just have a little taste of alcohol, for some reason, it works, just a beer or 2 or 12 and you can read forever, without being drawn away to anything else. Surprisingly enough, your recognition will be a lot higher. (This might be just with me, but the more I drink, the higher the chance I have to be drunk, to remember what the hell I learned while durnk.)
Last thing, is just go for a walk, it helps, take your book to a better more fun place and read.

When I get bored and can't seem to make myself work on programming stuff or learning new programming stuff (I've got books for Java, Perl, AWK, Javascript, VBScript, ASM, QBASIC, and C and only know C, some ASM, and euphoria. This boredom happens a lot), I either do some image work, or write something for my website, or fool around on my keyboard (musical one, not attached via PS/2 to the computer =p), or crank up my music and dance around like a jackass, or solder something, or build something, or play with the hot glue gun, or ....yeah, you get the idea.
I'd say the best cure if you're tired/lazy, is to intake a lot of caffeine and listen to music, usually some stuff from 8bitpeoples or some of the techno I got on a tape from K-Mart that no-one would buy does it for me, but your music tastes might be different. The best thing I can suggest to improve programming is to get a bunch of songs that make you want to just race off the edge of your chair, put them in a playlist, and then listen to them while coding. It'll keep you awake and focused on what you're doing.
Programming is your friend
Is there a sum of an inifinite geometric series? Well, that all depends on what you consider a negligible amount.

Never frustrated? El, you must be some sorta cyber-Jedi. When it comes to programming, I get frustrated often, especially when your bug is some itty-bitty character in code that has been misplaced or mistyped, and you have to spend the next couple of hours trying to find it (which is why I'm not a programmer!).
Lol, it never makes me frustrated when I can't find a stupid bug in a program, I really enjoy programming, including searching for bugs whether they are stupid or not doesn't matter. I've spent more than a week looking for a bug once, then it turned out I forgot a '(' somewhere.
