    port scan

    If I do a port scan on my dad's laptop upstairs (yes, he knows about it) using the IP assigned by our ISP will it piss off our ISP?

    Are you inside a LAN? If yes, your scan will not get out of your router... If you're NOT inside a LAN, your isp might not love you at all. Check your ISP policy for that.
