we call them speckled trout, I think the more correct name is spotted seatrout. There is a pic of one in my profile. As for recipe, my dad knows better than I. Usually fried with flour and bread crumbs, sometimes sauteed(sp?) or broiled, and even mesquite grilled a few times.

lol, cool. Nice looking fish. We tried to catch some big fish offshore this summer, nothing was biting though. We had one huge hit that took off, and when my dad set the hook it straightened. It also cut through all but one of the other lines out. It was very exciting though. Wish we could have seen the fish. I have a feeling that would have been a long fight. Thanks for participating in my love thread :P.

Nothing beats the thrill and adrenalin rush of something screaming off with
your bait. It's almost as good losing something big as catching it.
Gotta agree though, it would be nice to at least see what it was.....
