Lerm:
Your original question was pants. If you had posted in the style of your enhanced version, then the response would have been far more positive from the outset.
For my 2c, Lerm: edit your post, add details of what EXACTLY you are after. bear in mind that as a newcomer to this site that people will NOT give out advice to 'bend' the rules, UNTIL you have proven to them that you have something to offer the site. And that you are going to stay around and share some of YOUR knowledge here.
In short: Don't ask dick questions until you have some posts under your belt, through which the membership can make up their mind about how they will respond to you.
I stand by what I posted in my first take on the thread.
Oh yes, welcome to AO, and I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I do.
This also stands.
3. Undoubtedly, based on some of the responses, I've already received, some of you will feel compelled to flame me for reasons of your own. Some of you will simply believe that I'm lying. If this information is inappropriate to post on a public board but someone out there actually believes me and wishes to help me, then I would be happy to receive a PM re: this situation. I rather doubt that I'll be posting here again .
If you take this experience of AO as your yardstick, then you might as well not post again. If, however, you realise that mistakes have been made on BOTH sides, then I'm certain that you will be a regular contributor to these pages.
You have much to offer in regards to real world scenarios and problems, you will also find that there are people here who can help you in times of need, all it needs is a little bit of give and take.
so now I'm in my SIXTIES FFS
WTAF, how did that happen, so no more alterations to the sig, it will remain as is now

Wow ive been at this site for along time now and i have seen any number of noob's get flamed to death for asking this exact same question. All he did was ask the famous "how do i bypass my work's fw so i can play games" question. And for once somebody actualy got a halfway useable answer. So is it okay to ask **** like this now or not? Im itching to ask how to hack my ex wifes hotmail acount if it is.

Zombie:
If people actually read _past_ the way the question was initially couched it was quite probable that this was, indeed, a legitimate question. OTOH, one shouldn't just drop the "this is how to break the rules" answer, nor in this case was an outright flame entirely warranted.

Please do, my cursor is waiting on the button.....
Lerm: A ton of things are possible in network (in)security... that's what makes it so interesting. You might have also noticed that network security begins with two most important things:-
1. A healthy suspicion of everything that moves and a distinct distrust of anything that doesn't, and
2. A firm idea of what is right and what is wrong.
As you can see, AO is brimming with both and as a result you saw the "harsh" side of that for a "questionably" worded post... I hope you don't take this experience as anything more than a trial by fire, or os that flame????

Thats actually a good point Zombie brings up, because I have asked in the past on how to hack my brother's BIOS password and how to hack someone through AIM....and was not negged on either post. I was actually given a ton of ideas I could use....but I had also been in AO for quite a bit.
I have to agree with the 2 points Tiger brings up, and I can tell you that I am very suspicious of everything thats tech related

I'm glad that I decided to check back in here after i made that 2nd post earlier today.
As I stated, I found this site and went to the small inconveneince to make and activate an account just so I could post that 1 question... While I certainly didn't think I had much (if anything) to contribute here, I was quite shocked at the first few replies. After your additional words and encouragement, I suspect that I'll keep this account and visit here from time to time. <== I'm the blind guy here, NOT the cool one.
