Heh, when I was at my sons school the other day, there was a little girl in the library (5th grade) who had on a button up blouse that came to about her hips when she was standing upright. However, she had an armload of books, and her back pack on, and in the process, it pulled the front of her shirt up so you could see her tummy. They sent her home because she was "dressed indecently". I marched straight into the office and told the principal that there is a thing as going too far with a dress code. I fully support dress codes, and in my opinion, the rule that girls in elementary school don't need to wear shirts that show their tummies is a great one. However, as soon as the poor kid sat the books down and took off the back pack, the shirt was back down to around her hips. It was one of those famous "wardrobe malfunctions" I guess. The principal tried explaining that they can't make exceptions to anyone for breaking the rules, etc etc, and I tried explaining that a little common sense goes a long way. Neither of us made any ground with the other.
Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
