    The first question is what do you know? What's your existing background? From there you have to figure out where you want to go (the term Security Engineer is rather broad). This will require you to learn things, figure out things and do lots of reading. There is no single path to this however.

    What in security interests you?


    Side note: Is it just me or is this topic being asked ad nauseum lately
