If you are asking me about my ISP, I get my internet connection through my school.

DePaul's primary Internet connection consists of an OC-3 link (155M bits per second), which is the equivalent of approximately 100 T1 lines. DePaul's multiple campuses are primarily linked by a gigabit Ethernet (1000M bits per second) in a ring configuration, providing swift transfer of large amounts of data between campuses and redundancy in the event of a circuit failure at any one particular location.

DePaul is a participating member of the Internet2 initiative, the high speed Internet network that connects educational and research facilities to exchange knowledge.

    Hehe, my uptime rocks.

Some details on this box are:

I use this as my FTP server, which means in the last 3 days it has transferred over 15 GBs of data. 8 GBs is the average load at one time as I back up my machines too this one for CD-Burning as it has the fastest CD Writer, so it handles a pretty damn large load.

Intel Celeron 2.40 GHz, 512 MBs RAM, 128 MB Nvidia GE Force FX card, 17 inch Flat screen, SUSE Linux 9.1 Professional, 2.6 Kernel, all patches installed. A **** load of applications are running:

Gaim, Amarok, Irssi is running on a VC, and has been for 23 days logged into #suse on irc.freenode.net and this is KDE with a basic configuration. Nothing is really changed as I like the way it looks on SUSE , except I added a little button for Xterms.

Firfox has been loaded for like 7 days, and so has an Xterm with a Vim Process with a Muttrc file loaded all the time so I can play with it, and another runs top, another with Fetchmail and of course, Mutt. I leave X loaded for Kopete which signs me onto Yahoo and MSN, and Gaim open for AIM, besides that and Firfox, and Amarok, everything else is open somewhere else.

I'm crusin'. I connect trhough ResNet at the University of New Brunswick. htttp://www.unb.ca I've seen downloads hit 2.5 MB/s from sites like ATI. If only we weren't limited in the amount of data we could transfer...

Well, here are a few new shots of my Slackware Linux 10 box. I did a reformat of the Windows 2000 Professional machine I had here, and installed Slackware 10, and here are some shots of it:

There are about three, so I'll post them and you guys can tell me what you think. There is one that I really like, it's a blue theme, and for now I'm sticking with that but I usually use the BeOS theme, because I loved BeOS.
