    Can anyone recommend any good/cheap ways to get a site noticed ?

    - Search Engines (here's a nice link with a bunch of info and a ton of free tools)

    And do not forget the good old "grapevine" or "bush telegraph"..............like in word of mouth.

    If you have a good site and you mention it to "opinion leaders", they will pass it on.

    Just like people recommend software on this site...............or people recommend tradesmen or suppliers.
