I tested your theory about ip addresses, MsMittens (using them in place of a user or computer name) and it didnt work. do you know any reasons why? Here is an example of the code i used:

    Code:
    net send 178.198.60.1 hello
    (fake ip address)

    did not work! Any suggestions?

Getting a 2wire router is cool.It has it's own firewall. It will also allow you to connect 50 computers on it (wireless, ethernet, usb or HPNA).
