Mac OS X Applications
I know that this site rarely even mentions Macs, but I just bought a Mac for the first time and I would like to know, from any experienced users out there, about a few cool applications I can buy to use on it, or some freeware ones.
I already have apps like NoteTaker, M$ Office 2004, Candybar, and Konfabulator, but I would appreciate it if you could share some knowledge with me
Thanks in advance,

I believe Open Office works (free) on OS X. There's MacGIMP. Generally speaking, if it runs on Linux/Unix it's possible it will have a port to OS X.
What is it you want to do with your Mac?

Thanks MsMittens for replying. I'd like to use it like any other computer: browsing the internet, editing pictures, just some general applications which are useful. Are there any others on offer?

Well in that case:
Mozilla (browser)
Opera (browser)
Thunderbird (email)
Eudora (email)
MacGimp (link above)
Quanta (KDE PHP/HTML editor)
OS X comes with a fair amount of other applications already (the menu bar should have some defaults like a calculator, basic editor, etc.)
Some help may be found here:

http://www.ehmac.ca/cgi_bin/ultimatebb.cgi (while Canadian I'm sure they'll take any Macaphile )

Thank you very much MsM! Those sites are really useful, and although I have only just browsed through them, I intend to take a more thorough look at them tomorrow.
Cheers,
