RAM compatibly
i using hp pavaillion 8990, 133mhz SDRAM
wat type of ram shld i buy if i want to upgrade??
if i bought a a 266mhz SDRAM will my com become slower instead?

Hi,
Whilst your machine might work OK you will be restricted to the performance of the slowest memory.
You will also be restricted to what the motherboard will support.
My general advice is NOT to mix memory of different performances...............you gain nothing, and can introduce instability.
Do a Google Search for "Crucial Memory" (a supplier) they have a rather neat memory selector that will tell you what is compatible with your setup.

Well,
PC133 is 133MHz SDRAM................................PC2100, 2700,3200 etc is generally DDRAM
