Thread: Hacking

  1. #31
yea, thats what i told my teacher when she found enough hacking utilities to bring down the governent.. i called then network testing tools.... and she could borrow them if she needed... needless 2 say i am on probation and have been for about a year.... lol

Binary, it may be a good idea in the future to not bring "tools" to the school. Research and network testing can, for the majority of situations, be done remotely. Granted, having access to the internal LAN to gather information faster is a plus, but at what cost? Probation is a very small punishment for the "tools" you had on school property, possibly violating an agreement you signed at the beginning of the school year.

If, for whatever reason, you have no other choice but to bring network researching tools onto your school LAN then I advice that you ask your teacher for permission. Let her know what you are doing, why you are doing it, and be ready to answer any other questions she has in a mature responce. If you are honestly just trying to learn how the network is layed out and what makes it tick, then she may not have a problem with it. If, in the end, you are only trying to cause mischeif and black-hat annoyances (viruses, stealing passwords, hacking school property) then chances are she will not allow it.

Respect her descision if you don't want to live with a record that will haunt you forever.

    thanks dude

Dude that waz a very decent responce, and i am lucky that I am not any further then probation, yet I waz merly testing the extent of the protection of the network, although in the process of testing, I also found myself being drawed to the sheer fact.. *how much power could I have over a system like this* it began becoming impulsive, changing peoples mailing addresses, changing grades, for the good.. :P, changing things that should not have been tampered with, and on top of that I now realize that it was a GOVERNMENT funded facality, which means it could have been vandelism on a FEDERAL level... :P I am actually glad I got cought when I did, and the whole ordeal has cause me to learn a great deal on networking, there limits, and where those limits should not be taken advantage of... Thank you Chill....

when you reply, you have to double check the options at the bottom of the page.

replies are on the 'advanced' post reply page.

check the box to allow sig's etc........

And follow 'chills advice, it might sound dull, but it IS good advice.....
so now I'm in my SIXTIES FFS
WTAF, how did that happen, so no more alterations to the sig, it will remain as is now

No, it didn't. You're first post in on a page will have the sig. Every post thereafter on the same page will not. No need to repeat it multiple times.

    Definitely a NEWBIE Q

    Definitely a NEWBIE Q

Now I know a place to start learning the good and bad (of course to avoid it) about hacking, how about some books to start reading? (Just a quick Q for a quick A).

    Thanks
