SUSE Linux Killing daemons
I recently got an suse linux box up and running. I did 'nmap localhost' and found:
port 111 running 'sunrpc'
port 6000 running 'X11'
I looked through YaST and tried to disable them from starting or tried to unistall them, but I couldn't figure out how. Can anyone help me out here?

Did you try Yast -> Security and Users -> Reconfigure Firewall Settings?

Nmapping localhost and your IP are very different. RPC can be shut down in Run level editor in run level options. Read my tutorial called SUSE basics. You'll see how to do it.
