I said that I don't want remote desktop on my server. I'll try to explan what is the layout of LAN at work. Two servers, one is SQL and file server, other is RRAS and DHCP with connection to internet. 6 workstations with w2k installed. If I want to put remote desktop to workstation the only way in is trough RRAS (don't ask about dial-in, telephone lines in my town are a mess). So, my plan is to leave two servers and one ws to work after hours, and I have already VNC server on that ws working... I just need to optimize VPN connection so it don't freeze.
After browsing MSDN (nothing found) and googling for optimizing dial-up, I have found something about MTU size. I tried to set it up on RRAS with value 567(or it was 576).
Last night I have tried Terminal Service client from home, it was working fine for two minutes, then freezed... I'll try to lower MTU some more.
