I don't know if this will help?
They don't have any 32mb modules that I can install. So, in order to keep up with the newest IOSs, I'm going to have to buy another router. That pisses me off. This thing is only a little over a year old.
hey said I can buy the 64mb onboard and install it myself (which requires me to unsolder and pull off the 32mb onboard and install the 64mb onboard) but the damn upgrade costs $350! I can buy a new one for $450!
Well that would certainly be illegal under EC regulations Products have to be supported for a lot longer than that.
I would suggest it is time to talk "class action".............I am sure that they would just adore the publicity? You might even contact the Linksys or whoever, marketing department and just "casually enquire as to their company's position in such matters?"
In the meantime, PM me with all the product details and the serial number.............I will complain to Cisco Europe/UK............... and tell them I am not happy about "my router"............
Cheers
