Ummm, what server are you using? RedHat came with at least 2 when I used it and I have no idea what it has now. VSFTP was the usual, open the firewall config, allow FTP, then in the services whatever the hell redHat calls it, start up FTPd.... Umm, you have to be root, and then load up services or whatever it's called. That has Apache and FTP and every other service in there that you'd use.

The services app I'm talking about is in the Gnome and KDE menu under I think System or something, maybe Network. I don't use RedHat because they are dick heads that I'm not giving 200 dollars to use their crap.

If it has PureFTPD use that file to make it use accounts.
