    Hi,

    Please check my earlier post, I have just found this which may confirm my suspicions, if it isn't the keyboard:

    "Sapisvr.exe is Microsoft's Speech Recognition engine. When enabled, it listens to what's coming in on the microphone, and attempts to interpret what it hears as words, and then enters keystrokes to "type in" those words it heard.

    That's nice, in principle, but if always enabled it can cause exactly the odd behavior you describe. You make a noise (just about any noise can cause it to think it's heard a word), and keystrokes get entered. Or ambient noise is enough to cause it to try to recognize speech.

    Normally this feature should be disabled, but apparently some PC manufacturers or others enable it by default.

    To disable:

    * Go to Control Panel
    * Click on Regional and Language Options
    * Click on the Languages tab
    * Click on the Details button
    * Click on Speech Recognition
    * Click the Remove button"

    EDIT:

    And if you're wondering why this could be happening if you don't have a microphone, look again. Many laptops in particular have built-in microphones, and I'm lead to believe that some other computers may as well.
    Some fancy screens have a built in mike and speakers as well

    I have that same one sitting here on my desk. Even though right now my Play list of Sepultura and Samhain has made it shake.

    NP: Sepultura - Roots Bloody Roots - Demo

    Wait, it just went to another song:

    Samhain - All Murder All Guts All Fun, heh.

    Norton AntiVirus is the MS Internet Explorer of virus scanners. I don't think it can be trusted at all anymore. There are many, many vulnerabilities that have been exploited by several viruses.

    I switched from AVG to Avast and I see no reason to use anything else. It's a miracle worker.

    Do yourself a favour and get one of these (or any other reputable) free virus scanners and test your system. A second opinion will very valuable.

    Thanks for the feedback

    I get very annoyed by posts that do not let me know what actually worked

    EDIT: Gore old chap, you really must learn this nursery rhyme:

    " It's no good standing on the seat,
    Spyrochaetes can jump six feet"

    I am also pursuing my policy of Texan support............it is now a suburb of East Yorkshire......the controlled parking zones will come soon

    1823.............the abandoned mission station at Los Alamitos?.............Colonel William Broughton Travis?................Jim Bowie............Davy Crockett?............OK the last two you brought to the party.....

    Ack phtt!
