I can't tell you what it means 'cause you haven't told me JACKS**T about your system. Do you have onboard sound AND a sound card? If so then the answer probably lies in disabling the onboard sound in CMOS....but until you ask a more complete question that provides us with background information concerning your system and the exact nature of the problem that's the best I can do.
