Anyone tried WorldWind?
Features:
World Wind lets you zoom from satellite altitude into any place on Earth. Leveraging Landsat satellite imagery and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission data, World Wind lets you experience Earth terrain in visually rich 3D, just as if you were really there.
Virtually visit any place in the world. Look across the Andes, into the Grand Canyon, over the Alps, or along the African Sahara.
Not really nice on the requirements though:
Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, or XP
Intel Pentium 3, 1 GHz, or AMD Athlon or higher
256 MB of RAM
3D Graphics Card
nVidia GeForce 2 Ultra
ATI Radeon 7500
Intel Extreme Graphics 2
DSL / Cable connection or faster
2 GB of disk space

Yes, I've tried world wind. I found it VERY slow.
However, they had some really cool plugins. You could recreate earth quakes, volcanic eruptions, storms and more using animated earth.
I suppose the google earth install registers with the google servers.
I never had to enter any key or anything... I just installed and ran... hmmm.
Well, no point in keeping that link up there. I'll remove it.
Quitmzilla is a firefox extension that gives you stats on how long you have quit smoking, how much money you\'ve saved, how much you haven\'t smoked and recent milestones. Very helpful for people who quit smoking and used to smoke at their computers... Helps out with the urges.

They are still having issues:
Google Earth downloads temporarily delayed
Thanks for your interest in Google Earth, but we're sorry we can't offer you a download right now. As you know, Google Earth is in beta, and we're still building out our ability to take on new users. We're making good progress, and expect to be able to accept new downloads shortly, so we recommend you check back daily at earth.google.com. We hope to be able to welcome you and other new planet surfers soon.
We appreciate your patience,
The Google Earth Team
Cheers:

Looks like they are getting huge popularity with this one. Every forum on the net has a link to this new service. They haven't even been Slashdotted yet!

I use NASA WorldWind myself. On my Dual Processor 2.43GHz AthlonMP workstation it flies (with like 90% CPU usage for both processors combined). But the servers that WorldWind pulls its image data from are overwhelemed by the requests. (No, not all of them are NASA owned either and they have been forced to stop using some servers because the owners were very upset)
KeyHole's color imagery is generally better than most of the panshapened color images WorldWind uses. But if you're looking for USGS aerial photos look no further than WorldWind. (Well you could use Microsoft TerraServer -- http://terraserver.microsoft.com/ -- but Navigating WorldWind is easier) I still think however there is nothing publicly avaliable rivaling the resolution of the USGS Urban dataset (full color, 0.3 meter/pixel IIRC).

Shucks. The images that surround my house/area are very low quality. Oh well, there are still several other interesting places to look at.
