But the big question is, will you be able to change it back to windows classic.
if so thats the first thing im doing once i get (insert official release name for longhorn).
Since the beginning of time, Man has searched for the answers to the big questions: \'How did we get here?\' \'Is there life after death?\' \'Are we alone?\' But today, in this very theatre, you will be asked to answer the biggest question of them all...WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA?

I've been waiting for WinFS. That was my main drive for obtaining Longhorn, and if they're taking that out I don't even want it. The new look seems to be the only difference between XP and Longhorn. Really, what the hell has Microsoft been doing? Are they still working on WinFS or did they just quit on it?

Isn't it obvious? Transparent window skins. The ultimate waste of CPU cycles...
geez you make it sound as if its a HUGE waste...everyone knows that you just need to add on some neon lights to your case to gain back the loss of power. after all each neon light = ~10MHz
and last I heard on WinFS is that they are still working on it, and will incorperate it at a later time. Let me look for the article on that thing.
when I was messing with the earlier beta (before even the cool skins) it was nothing other than windows XP with a new name and some new Icons. I was very dissapointed.

That looks EXACTLY like XP with a cool theme. I know there is some tweaking under the hood but... unless something changes I may not deploy this. And just phase in with new hardware?

Just uninstalled windows transformation pack after 2 weeks, & if there is no serious tweak under the hood, there is no way i am going for this horn( however 'long' it is).
It\'s all about sense of power.

HAHA That's what I'm doing with XP. Most workstations here are still 2000

Longhorn is dead!!
Long live Vista:
It's not Longhorn anymore. Microsoft today announced that Windows Vista will be the official name of the next version of its flagship operating system, and that beta 1 of the OS will arrive by August 3.
