from Dictionary.com: An imaginative creation or a pretense that does not represent actuality but has been invented.
Harry Potter, J K Rowling novels are FICTION!
Therefore, stating that are/promote anti-Christian ideas is false. It's not real. Relax America.
Proof again that America is all about stifling human creativity.

Actually the Catholic church is pissed cause they don't get a cut of the profits, you know them they have to have a cut of everything or else it's the DEVIL!!!!!
You know, for how easy it is to rip te Catholic church apart you'd think they'd try and keep a low profile, but oh no, they have to be as loud as hell!! lol
Mankind have a great aversion to intellectual labor; but even supposing knowledge to be easily attainable, more people would be content to be ignorant than would take even a little trouble to acquire it.

I judge a book by the enjoyment factor and therefore The DaVinci code is an excellent book.
I wish people were like you but a lot of people have read his book and taken it as being FACTUAL ... Which trust me it's far from that .... It's more along the lines of a fairy tell story gone bad ...
Ahh Scientology the big SCAM ....

Well,
"The ability of the reader to distinguish between good and evil is overridden by emotional manipulation and intellectual obfuscation."
Total intellectual masturbatory bullcrap! if that were true then the person would already be doomed and their religious leaders should be grovelling in appology for failing in the duty they claim their supreme being charged them with.
It is fiction and is not aimed at an audience of people who might remotely believe in its contents. The language, imagery and concepts are far too complex to be comprehended by young people who might be influenced. Rowlings is a millionairess because ADULTS buy her books, not kiddies out of their paper round or pocket money.
When I was a kid, I did not waste my money on buying books if I could swap them with friends, or borrow them from the library.
Just travel on public transport today and see how many youngsters are reading anything, let alone a book!.................they are all p1$$1ng around with text messages on their mobiles or playing games on their palmtops
To go back to the original quote: If that were the case then I should be able to torch three-quarters of the contents of the Vatican Library.
My guess is the guy tripped some bad acid and was actually reading "Maleficus Maleficorum"
Now please excuse me...............................I have the needs of a young succubus to attend to

Spyder~ shame on you!
Yes, the adults buy the books.. for their kids.
Errrrr...............
Like the electric locomotive set, the radio controlled model, the latest computer game?
I would not be surprised if 70% of the readers of Harry Potter were 16 or older.................I kid you not..............and the younger ones would be classed as pretty bright at school.
Just what I have observed in a VERY SMALL sample I agree...............but worth a thought..........?

Lets see I was about harry's age in the first book when i read my first book. Now for some reason or another rowling does not produce a book a year im 18 now....
I do believe that this is true for a lot of people.
Since the beginning of time, Man has searched for the answers to the big questions: \'How did we get here?\' \'Is there life after death?\' \'Are we alone?\' But today, in this very theatre, you will be asked to answer the biggest question of them all...WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA?
