somewhat off topic/
My goodness, how can you even CALL yourself a christian when you drive a $40k vehicle, own a 200k house, plus a boat, and a restaraunt
Actually that is an easy question: "Christianity" and "poverty" are not synonymous. And poverty is not mandatory, except for some religious orders.
I talked to one person who said they agreed with GWB's foreign policy because he read the bible every day
Just wait until he gets to the bit about Samson picking up the jawbone of an ass and slaying 10,000 Philistines? ..............he'll probably cancel the JSF programme
Anyway, it is nice to get confirmation from younger members that I had not missed the plot, so to speak. I certainly have not found anything in the Harry Potter books that in any way questions Christianity, or any other faith for that matter. That is why I drew a parallel with J.R. Tolkien in an earlier post.
