Unistalling linux
Ok for a school project abouts some OS's I went to the library and got me a gigantic linux book wich had 2 cd for installing linux on a machine. It linux 6.0 for the record (i know its old i just found out). I installed it, with a bit of problems, not knowing everything and now I am stuck in this dos like enviroment. I hope you know what i mean. I got a copy of knoppix 3.2 so i can boot from the cd and work on that. That what i wanted, the visual part of it. But my question is: How do i get rid of linux. I have root acces. I can't download anything because its on a laptop. I greatly appreciate some help.
DakX
P.s. i could alway's, if no one knows something, run one of my home-made programs on it to delete the whole c:. But its not mine so i don't know what damage it will do to the laptop. SO I think it would be better to do it the old fashoin way.

Uhm ok, does this linux 6.0 have a name?
not knowing everything and now I am stuck in this dos like enviroment.
At the prompt type "startx" without the quotes. If there is an error post it here.
If you want to get rid of linux, reformat and install watever OS you want to.

Dpending on version, that may not work, specially if it's restore CDs. They look for a fat partition.
