Longhorn to Be Christened 'Windows Vista'

I have got the trial version of Longhorn + crack since about five months, well I never botherd installing it.

Its just doesnt attract, I remember when win98, came out , I was just wanted it (U know what i mean).

Yeah that is exactly what I was planning to do, i always wait a year before upgrading to a new os.
But when vista comes out, malware writers will write more stuff for vista then XP

Quite honestly, I would not bother even touching the stupid OS because of all the stuff Microsoft has pulled out of it, and all the crap they've put in it (i.e. this ) if it wasn't for the fact that I want to be able to fix Windows computers... (They're the most common out there.)

You know... it's funny. Up until the last year I'd kind of hated Microsoft because everyone hated them. I didn't know exactly why. I mean, I'd heard rumors, but never had seen any of this socalled crap in action. But in the past twelve months Microsoft has given me plenty of reasons to hate/distrust them. (Being 18, I've only been into tech news for a little while.)

That's according to developer sources close to the company. Microsoft officials would not comment on the Longhorn reference implementation.

It's not official yet. Nothing at microsoft.com about the system requirements yet, but if those are the (average) system requirements, they must be crazy.

How the hell do they expect it to become popular if the system requirements are so high?

In short, this means that if Longhorn detects that your monitor is not "secure" enough, then your premium video content won't play on it until you buy one that is. Who gets to decide? The content providers of course." From the article: "So what will happen when you try to play premium content on your incompatible monitor? If you're "lucky", the content will go through a resolution constrictor. The purpose of this constrictor is to down-sample high-resolution content to below a certain number of pixels. The newly down-sampled content is then blown back up to match the resolution of your monitor. This is much like when you shrink a JPEG and then zoom into it. Much of the clarity is lost. The result is a picture far fuzzier than it need be."

How in the world does that relate to security?!
