I have been looking for ways to do RAID.
My situation is equal to this.
I have 2 servers both with 3 HD ULTRA SCSI 72GB, im going to buy 1 more hd for each one and a SCSI controler.
Both Servers going to have 4 HD SCSI and a scsi controler, my objective, is to make RAID 0+1 on each Server.
4 Hard-drives = 2 Hard-drives for c:\ and 2 Hard-drives for d:\ . This for both Servers.
Both using RAID 0+1.
My question is this, there exists already RAID by software. Im going to plug the other HD drive, enter in the SCSI controler bios, and "say" Disc 1 RAID 0+1 with Disc 2 And Disc 3 RAID 0+1 with Disc 4.
Will this work without data loss, execpt for the new hard-drive, and the hard-drive that is using software RAID?
and after the BIOS configuration, and when i reboot, he will duplicate the both Hard-drive by him self.
Thanks
