thought I would bring this up to date. BBC starting to get down to the nitty gritty.
Sounds like the wording is starting to change, as both sides try to find the right way to do this, I kinda agree that it would be a blow, if other countries decided to go it alone, so much for sharing ideas, and what better way for the underground in some of these countries then to get thier voice out there, so all can see it. As we get closer to the Bejing Olympics, it will be interesting to see if the Chinese ease up on their bloggers.

It was nice while it lasted, a world network that every one can connect managaged by a single entity. But alas politics caught up. As if we were doing some great atrocity at managing the root.

Bah. Everyone will stil connect to us because, no matter who creates their dipshit networks, we have the internet and that is where people want to be. The internet wont be fragmented, it will be right here where it has always been. If you cant reach it its because your government is a dumb whore, dont blame us.

Really??!?
Well now that and old thread has been revived by such and intelligent and outstanding comment....
What's the new skinny on the ICANN stuff? I haven't been paying attention. I do know the UN is still conducting a constant barrage of internal corruption investigations, child prostitutution to whatever, you name it.
