Some of the aid to pakistan from the usa is political as well... sadly.
As for Cuba and China... China didn't point missiles at us. But the grudge we had against China wasn't lifted until they started to embrace a little democracy. Still it's our greed at cheap products and the money china provides that helps ease the pain. I don't fully agree with it either. But just TRY and find something not made there and choose an american or euro product.

Is that not true of all "government aid".................only churches, relief agencies and the UN provide a "no strings attached" product?

Dont blame them for not wanting to eat/use the British Army rat packs, they are always being recalled and having things replaced in them. The last thing that was changed was a little tub of primula easy spread cheese, these apparently had a shelf life of 7 years but this turned out to be more like 12 months after 1 soilder died and something like 28 where in hospital close to death, whilst on exercise in Canada about 2 years ago when they eat cheese that was 5 years old!
Before that they had to recall all beef based main meals when the mad cow issue was happening as they where indeed declared unfit for human consumption, they got replace with beef flavoured pot noodles for a very short while!!
Think the guy who says what goes in rat packs likes beef or owns a cow farm or something!
They dont all contain beef however there is 6 main menus excluding vegaterian and muslim type menus and only 3 of them have beef. The other 3 have chicken and pork in em.
Probably too sensible to have someone go thorugh them and remove the beef meals!

Our militaries have been giving soldiers amphetamines for a long time. Germans WWII, Falklands, nam, today. Well if they give them speed, what else do you think they're giving them? Hell, 4-5 spec ops killed their wives at Fort Bragg alone in the span of a few weeks. I spoke to this one marine, dude said he gets headache attacks everyday, on the hour around 3pm. If I were fighting in a war I'd want to be feeling like god too. No need for sleep sargy...keep the enemy on the run..it's snowing and you have frostbite...I'm not cold....forget to eat.... who cares.. you're god! Warriors that don't sleep and who are always agitated are a bitch to fight. Germans in WWII making that field meth out of fuel. Look at those in the Mog that chew on khat. Make the man more like the machine.
